Transforming Lives

It takes some Confidence, some Optimism, lots of Action and a great deal of Commitment and Belief.

Hi! I’m sorry I have been away for a really long time. I’m guilty to admit that I’ve let life overran me for the past few months. Yes, you got it right, life overran me. I was just passing day by day trying to catch up with life.

Today I would like to just share a short piece and a great book from my current mentors.

While trying to catch hold of myself in the whirlwind of everyday work and things, I was glad I still managed to have some break, went for enrichment classes and met new people. In these occasions, I met some people who made me felt amused and yet sad at the same time. These new acquaintances all spoke of wishing for a change to be better, but yet at the same time, insist that it is impossible for them to change.

“I’m too old to change”; “I really don’t like it”; “Too difficult to understand”; “Actually I’m fine now too”.

We were in classes with great mentors who shared many skills and wonderful ways of life with us, but these people listened, admired but decided to close off  their minds. They decide they cannot change. They believe they cannot change.

Years back, I too said “It’s too difficult to change”. I rejected advises and help then. What made me change? Till today I am very grateful to Andrew, Success Resources and T. Harv Eker, very grateful for Millionaire Mind Intensive, for the nudge to move ahead, for giving me the courage to change.

Today, there’s another group of mentors who are holding my hands, directly and indirectly, teaching me the skills, edging me towards a Prodigious Life. I’m not the best student, am still stumbling at the start of the journey, but I am all the same grateful to Terraseeds, Binni, Tiong Hum and the trainers. =)

There are many fellow students out there who shared the same gratefulness towards Terraseeds and our seniors have came together to share their success. We invite you to take a read at their success stories.

I’m not pimping. We are not pimping. We just want to say

Change is not impossible. Transforming Lives is possible.

Lots of Love,
Evon

You live but are you alive ?

Over the Labor day long weekend, I was over in the neighboring country of Malaysia, meeting friends and generally enjoying some time off from work. While we were shopping, this song called “Moments 4 Life” was playing in the shop that we were shopping in. I must say I never paid much attention to it over the radio as the feel is not really my not kind of music. Catching bits and pieces of it, something in the lyrics prompted me to dig further.

Some of the phrases in the song that really caught me,
“… But to live doesn’t mean you’re alive …” and
“… cause everybody dies but not everybody lives …”.

Everybody dies, yes but not everybody lives ? What does the song mean by “not everybody lives” ?

Stop for a moment and think, when was the last time you truly “lives” ? Free from the burdens of your work and troubles ? To go about doing what you WANT to instead of what you NEED to do ? Often we go away on vacation but we can’t stop thinking about the work we left behind. With all the connectivity now, one has never been able to be so far physically and yet can be so near to work. It couldn’t have been more appropriate as about an hour before I left the country, something crops up which quite spoil my mood for the getaway. A lot of us go about our lives like zombies, devoid of thinking. Is that what you truly want ? A life confined by circumstances ?

Go out and brave the world. LIVE !

Over and out,
Andrew

Is life really too hard?

Writing this after reading much feedback online in view of the Singapore Elections.

I’m not pro PAP, but I do feel the leaders have been wise to remain prudent, almost hard handed when it comes to pampering the citizens. I seriously doubt lowering all the housing cost, living costs, giving freebies and sort is going to make life easier. Humans as humans, we would take things for granted when they come easy, and when things will get tougher we would have a more difficult time to handle life than now. On the big picture, all these years Singapore has maintain stability and quality as a country, hasn’t she? It’s important our economy is maintained at a good level for our own lives to maintain well too.

It is not that I do not support what the Oppositions proposed, but in the heat of wanting to make lives seemingly easier, some might have missed the bigger picture of keeping the country afloat.

Event details

Venue: The Plaza, National Library Building, 100 Victoria Street

Adults’ and children’s fiction and non-fiction books (eg. cookbooks, travel guides and romance novels) in the four official languages are accepted, including used library books bought from previous Library Book Sales. Used books for exchange should be in relatively good physical condition. Textbooks, magazines and audio-visual materials are not accepted.

*Above information is taken from NLB’s website.

Andrew and I brought some of our books to a nearby Public Library yesterday. Do note that the counter for the book exchange is not the main library counter, but some make shift counter nearby, manned by part-timers. It seems like they are quite strict on the books condition, thus don’t be disappointed if they do not accept all your books. Out of the 14 books we brought, 10 was accepted, pretty good for clearing some space at home, though I still have heaps of books around.

Do participate! Give your books a new life in another avid reader’s hands and at the same time, you might get another good read in return!

Lots of Love,
Evon

God gave you 2 hands to work, no?

I spent a weekend in the 40 person strong class at Terraseeds recently, learning Forex Trading. Though tiring, it was a wonderful session with a lot of new knowledge acquired and confidence. My only regret was I did not network much, well, thanks to my truly shy nature. However, I did strike up some casual conversation with fellow classmates seated beside me.

On both days, I was seated beside an old gentleman, who was experienced in trading and was nice enough to impart some of his knowledge to me. During one of the breaks, our conversation drifted to something that totally turned me off though.

He started asking if I am working. I replied: “Yes, but I hope to become a full time trader soon.”

Aren’t we all here in the class to seek a tool to break out of the constriction call “working”?

I was taken aback when he gave me a sorry look, as if I’ve said something silly. He continued saying that it’s stupid to stop working and do full time trading while one is still abled. One should only think about doing it only when retired.

“God gave you 2 hands to work, didn’t he? … I don’t believe in what financial freedom people talk about…”

I smiled at that, replied that I do have dreams I want to achieve and for the rest of the classes, politely kept my distance from him.

Yes, the Universe (or God as he said) created us with 2 hands to work. But what is work exactly? so do we have swear by running the wheel as our life job?

Food for thought, isn’t it?

I’m also saddened by the fact that there are people who do not believe in Financial Freedom, and I guess it would not just be one or two persons out there. When you don’t believe, it will never happen.

I believe and I’m going to make my freedom come true.

Dear friends, I hope you too are still chasing a dream of freedom. =)

Lots of Love,
Evon
